Introducing our board.

We elected this board to give the initiative proper governance.

  1. Dr. Terence Nkhwashu Dr. Terence Nkhwashu Chairperson

    Terence has a Doctorate in Leadership and Strategy and spent a number of years with large South African corporates. He is now pursuing other business opportunities. He is a father of four, a grandfather, and a jazz fan.

    Why I’m involved
    “I want to make a difference in the lives of people.”
    What I hope we achieve
    “I would like to see a number of stakeholders getting involved in a number of initiatives to make Highveld one of the best cities in Gauteng.”
  2. Advocate Koos Nel Company Secretary

    Koos worked for Old Mutual for many years and is the CEO of AgriX.

  3. Anton Meerkotter Anton Meerkotter (CA) Company Treasurer

    Anton is a chartered accountant who was a partner in some of the leading auditing firms. He has long been active in community organisations, including Rotary and the Middelburg Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

  4. Gareth Nicholson Gareth Nicholson

    Gareth is a community leader passionate about seeing people and cities transformed. He graduated cum laude with an MSc in Electronic Engineering from Stellenbosch University and spent ten years in telecommunications before moving into full-time ministry in 2016. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Practical Theology from Christ for the Nations Institute in the USA. In 2022 he and his wife, Amy, founded Free Church in Centurion, where they are raising their three children and are deeply invested in the community they call home. He has run the Comrades three times.

    Why I’m involved
    “I am convinced that followers of Jesus are called to bring meaningful transformation wherever they live, work and serve. Inspired by Isaiah 61:4 and its call to rebuild, renew and restore.”
    What I hope we achieve
    “I am passionate about seeing both people and the places they live flourish through collaboration between churches, businesses and the wider community.”
  5. Dr. Mzwakhe Dlamini Dr. Mzwakhe Dlamini

    Mzwakhe holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship and is the founder and owner of Josc Logistics. He has lived in Highveld since 2009.

  6. Yolande Hawker Yolande Hawker

    Yolande has a background in finance and has lived in Centurion for about fifteen years. She is a mother of two teenagers and loves spending time in nature.
